I pulled out the motor from my 10C Los 69Z for one "last" time, to re-install the origional 186 heads, and check the parts against Jerry MacNisch's book. I found nearly everything matches.
EXCEPT
The Number on the Fan is wrong according to the book. It is suppost to be 3947772, but is 3937779 with a date code of H68. Do I need to find a 3947772 ?

The Radiator doesn't have a tag on the radiator. The tanks are stamped CB and IH. There is a tag on the core that the bottom line seams to read IC 1869, I cannot make out the top line. Is this also wrong?

Interesting.....my 10B (Oct 68) Z has 772 fan. your 10C Z has 779 fan. Must be about the time of the changover?

REading this .. I got curious (even though it's almost midnight).. I went down to the garage and disassembled my original fan/clutch, and found the CV Eaton clutch (the one shown for L78/COPO in CRG, along with an unstamped 7 blade fan... My car is a September 1969 build (09C)... with engine components from the last week of August.

Update on my fan. Thought I had original fan, but know now I have replacement, not 772 unit. Disregard my previous comment.
