Title: 68 rs lower bodysill paint
Post by: 68rs327conv on March 01, 2006, 01:09:35 AM
Did all 68 RS option cars have the lower bodysill painted black. Mine is Y2 butternut yellow. I understand below the lower trim is suppose to be black, what color paint gloss, semi etc and does the paint go into the lower door jam area when you open the door.

Here are a couple photos of an unrestored, original paint 68RS lower body sill. I believe the finish is more gloss than flat, yet not a full gloss.

Great picture of the gloss level and the way the black paint cuts in inside the door jamb.   thank you.

Is it just my PC or is the first pic of the rocker panel masking all F'd up?

Does anyone have a good version of this ?

When I view the first picture over half the photo is solid blue from the bottom up. Bottom picture is fine.

At MCACN years ago we had the 10000 mile green 68 L78 Camaro. I'm sure someone here will have pics. It had gloss like in the pics above as did the upper firewall.
