Am working on my 69 Z and have two questions:
1. I'm trying to remove the clutch fan/pulley from the water pump; Have removed the nuts from the studs, but the fan and pulley don't want to come off. I don't want to doing prying, etc. or I'll need a new water pump. Anyone have this problem and a solution?
2. I need to re-wrap some wiring in the engine bay. What is the tape that I need? Original looks like black friction tape? Wires are to starter so come close to engine block. Anything that resists heat that might be recommended?
Thanks,
Jimmy V.

For your fan clutch - I always just use a big hammer.
Just give it one good wack - that will get it off.

The wrap for the wiring harnesses was just a black plastic tape with no adhesive. Rick's sells it. #RC-508. If they sell it then most stores will have it.

There is a cloth type tape and I believe that is what you are referring to when you say "friction tape" I believe the cloth tape is more resistant to heat and wear...

The cloth-type tape will get deductions in judging, as the original harnesses were wrapped with non-adhesive shiny black plastic tape, as noted by Gary.

Thanks, I'm getting the tape from Rick's. No issues with judging; my car is a very nice driver and doesn't attend many shows; mostly country roads on nice weekend afternoons.
