Can someone confirm for me which engine lifting bracket/hook goes on the front of the motor. There is one that is a bit larger than the other, and one that has a "cut" out of one corner. I dont know any other way to describe it.
Thanks

The rectangular one goes on the front.

The one that does not have the "cut" out of the corner?
Thanks

If you have our 1969 Camaro fact book, there is a good photo of the front lift hook on page 11. The notched corner one is in the front, second intake bolt hole in, and both are painted Chevy orange. The other goes in the last bolt hole on the passenger's side rear.

Jerry,
Thanks for the information. That is how mine were before I took them off just wanted to confirm they were on correct the first time.
I do have your fact book for 69 Z/28's. Is this the same book you are talking about?
Thanks,
-
Yes, it is.

Were the lifting hooks different on the big blocks - 396 and 427's?
In general, would the lifting hooks on a '68 307 Chevelle be the same as a small block or big block Camaro in 1969?
Guess I'm just curious on the lifting hook thing.

Should be the same as a small block Camaro.

The BB hook looks like a big "A"

The rear engine lift hook on small blocks is also different than the one used on big blocks.
