Title: 68 Z28?

Hi I got a trade working on a 68 camaro, the guy says its a Z28, i saw the car from a distance once it had all the badges on it (which i know that means nothing) but since the motor and trans are gone, how else can i make sure? he says it does have disc brakes on the front..but the rearend has been replaced with a 9 inch il have the vin# and tag information tomarrow when i look at it .         thanks guys any help here would be greatly apreciated

There are some other things to look for however in 1968 there are no defining codes that say yes this car is a Z28.

If im reading correctly it should have 4 leaf springs? how many or what size fuel lines should it have? thanks for your help

We also have a definitive 1967-68 Z28 fact book that will help a lot.  There are dozens of little things that will aid in your quest.

I have Jerrys  4 books and they have saved me a lot of headaches and money by answering a lot of questions when I am looking at these early camaros. Its the first investment you should make.  Paul Bruce

Thanks guys, i will order these books...im going to look at the car today,im not sure if i should even mess with it ive been told its very rusty..but its not every day somthing like this comes along so its worth a look thanks again for your help
