Title: Wire harness clip
Post by: L78 steve on July 07, 2008, 04:55:56 PM
Does anyone know of a source for the clip that attaches the front parking lamp wire to the bumper bracket on a 69 Camaro .One of them is missing on my car.

Not sure if they do, but I'd check out AMK fasteners.

I've sold some on ebay, but I havent seen them since.  Try to find used parking lights with the clips still attached.

Steve,

I just realized we're both from the western end of the Tarheel state!  There used to be a vast junkyard outside of Rutherfordton with a whole row of wrecked Camaros.  I've put in a call to one of the main Chevy guys in my region to find out if it still exists.  Many of us still prowl around the junkyards.  But Camaro parts cars are getting hard to find.  I'll let you know what I find out...

Well, the name of the place is Hudson Used Cars and Parts in Rutherfordton, NC. Some members of our car club were there in May.  Several did find parts they needed for a variety of different classic cars at junkyard prices.  They say they did see Camaros, but no first gens.  Sorry!  But the place has several buildings stacked to the roof with old car parts.  You can call them at 828-286-3731.

I was hoping there were some first gens. there.  I'm looking for a 68 parts car myself.

I was there at the AACA show last September, but the one this year conflicts with a show I am judging in Cleveland, TN.  I will let you know if I get up that way!
BTW, there was a great looking 69 Camaro there... wasn't you was it?

The same clip is used on 67 to 72 pickup's to hold the rear body harness to the frame under the box.
