Thats Nov 18, '68, date codes on the block and heads imply the motor may be out of the same car since the seller is claiming it to be a DZ and the tranny is out of a 69 Camaro? Can't tell if the block was decked or just the pad ground down if so why? just a hunch. are the whereabouts of this car known?

Quoted from the listing...   "The vin numbers have been ground down on the pad (was that way when I bought my car)."

The photo from the listing (below) of the engine pad sure looks like the numbers were ground off...

Is the timing chain cover correct? Looks like short tab type in the pic.
