Title: BB MT Crossmember mounting direction question

Hi folks, I'm reinstalling the M21 in my 69 Camaro SS396 L34 X22 MT and I've spaced on the direction of the trans crossmember.  Does the "notch" on the rectangular bolt hole opening face the front (driver side) or rear (passenger side) of the car?  I suspect the rear PS but I just want to get a second opinion before I get out the rubber mallet.  Thanks, Bill

There are several small holes along the opening that were used for mounting the 67-68 shifter; these are on the drivers side.
