Post by: jidc on February 09, 2006, 09:31:58 PM
I am still going crazy with all the different sources refrencing different numbers
Which would be correct for a SS 350 built 1st week July Man Transmission

Water pump
3859326
with 2 threaded water lines
or
3782608
with one threaded water line

Distributor
1111264
or
1111168
Thank you for the help,it is much appreciated

My source shows part number 3890017 (Colvin cast number ='s 3782608) as the original water pump part number for you.  The distributor as 168.

I know that the Colvin book does not show the 350 with the #326 water pump, but my 67 350 with A/c has the #326 pump and the top by pass hole plugged. I have not read anything written to confirm this but believe the #326 is correct for a 350 A/C car in 67. I agree that #168 is correct for the distributor, that is what mine has.

The 326 water pump was only used on applications that had an aluminum intake with a bypass fitting at the front; if it has the upper boss with a plug in the hole, it's a service replacement.
