What I neeed to know is, is this Gloss Black , Semi Gloss ? Any paint codes for this PPG, Sherwin Williams, Krylon?  Can someone help me out on this?

i just looked at my 3 cars  with original interiors and all the colums are semi gloss. they are not gloss for any reason. appears to be the same glossyness like the inner fenders or such. gm used a semi gloss black for those i think.  i bet it was painted semi gloss due to the lack of gloss on the dash and console pieces. hope this helped!

PPG code 9266.(semi gloss) Cross reference for your brand preference. SEM trim black is close out of the can. As well as Krylon. Seymour is good too. Consistency when using Krylon's laquer or enamel based paints is recommended. It all depends on how much flattening agent is added and how well the paint is agitated weather you will get the degree of sheen you are shooting for.

Krylon will do. But if you're  not set up to spray with a gun you will prefer SEM trim black as it has the proper sheen. Auto body supply stores have it, or can acquire it for you.

SEM Trim Black #39143 (spray can) is the correct sheen, and is much more durable than the flatter Krylon #1613.

John is this the same color that would be used to touch up around the Astro vent on the passenger side of the dash?

Thanks

Hard to say - depends on the sheen that's on there now; blending into existing paint is always an issue, vs. painting separate parts like the steering column.
