Title: spark wire loom
Post by: onebad34 on May 31, 2008, 03:27:56 PM
What is correct for a 67 camaro, 396/325 regarding the valve cover plug wire loom at the back on the drivers side.  Our new covers has the straight bracket on both covers, but the drivers side interferes with the wiper motor. As I understand, the wiper motor is also unique to the 67.  Was there a change for the 68/69 bb cars.  The assy manual shows a bracket further ahead on the drivers side.  I can't find that option in any of the parts catalogs.  thanks  Pete

The repro covers all replicate what the Chevelles used.
Camaro's had the bracket welded in front of the first bolt to allow for the wiper motor.  67-69 w-BB.

I think some of the Corvettes years used this design also- check with the Corvette parts places - you may be able to find some there.

Thanks. I'm in the process of trying to find a good set of valve covers with the wire loom in front of the first bolt.  Thanks again.
