Title: Engine assembly book?
Post by: crobjones2 on May 21, 2008, 06:10:05 PM
I have the AIM and the Fisher Manuals for 1969, but they are vague when it comes to some of the nuances between the different motors. Is there an assembly manual for the motor?
Thanks
Chris

Yes, get yourself a 1969 Chevrolet Chassis Overhaul Manual.     :)

Yes, there were Assembly Manuals for the engine plants (my wife drew many of the illustrations for the small-block A.I.M.'s as a GM Technical Illustrator), but none of them have ever been released outside of GM. The "Rebuild Your Small-Block Chevy" books by Vizard or Atherton are excellent references in addition to the GM Chassis Overhaul Manual.
