Title: 1969 Z brake booster fitting
Post by: lcmc on February 02, 2006, 04:23:03 PM
What is the correct brake booster fitting for a 69 Z intake. Is it the threaded one with one vacuum port?

Yes - the correct one has only the one tubular port for the brake booster hose (Rick's INT-3); I use the one with the booster hose port and a vacuum hose port (Rick's INT-4), as it provides a handy connection for a vacuum gauge for setting idle mixture - I just keep a rubber cap on it (see photo).

Would it have two vacuum ports if the car was an RS?

John,

Where did you find that white plastic "T" vacuum fitting that feeds the SMOG system's diverter valve?

I need one for my L/78.

Don't mean to cut in, but I got my "T" at Kragens Auto Parts. Most auto parts stores should have them.

My 68 has four.one for the J50 power brakes, one for Z22 RS,one for M40 and one for C60 air conditioning.
Would it have two vacuum ports if the car was an RS?
