Title: Rubber repair
Post by: 68Zproject on April 18, 2008, 05:20:33 AM
I have the original rubber boot that goes over the valve on the back of the prop valve on the MC.  It has a small slit in it.  I wondered what I could use to seal it up.  Slicone?  Latex?  How about that stuff in the can that you can make plastic grips for your pliers by dipping them?  Ideas?  Thanks.

You can buy a reproduction one for less than $4.00...

Thanks Paul.  I thought I read on here a while back that no one reproduced it.  Looks like they do.

The re-pops are terrible .I used some POR-15 on the inside and it sealed it up nicely .Clean with dish soap and water first .
