It is a family members car. Great looking car. It is plum in color with a black vinyl top. The Cowl tag
indicates to me that it was maybe white with a white hardtop.
Can you tell what engine it has with this tag as well?
Thanks!

Correct, Ermine White, top and bottom.

No. We can narrow it down and tell some of the engines it didn't have (i.e. L30/M20, L48, L35, L78, Z28). If you supply the VIN we can narrow it down even more. We know it had a Powerglide transmission.

The vin is:
124377N239839
Chevy, camero, 8 cylinder, coupe, 1967, made in Norwood, OH, 139,839th (out of 142,242 made)
Would that be a white vinyl top, or do you think the vinyl was put on after market?
Seems like a bad idea to add vinyl to a great hardtop, but I've seen worse!

Yeah thanks, it was a "G" on the Cowl tag not the "C" I thought it was.
You guys are good!

I just realized that the production numbering started at 100,000 at the Norwood,OH plant, so......
this Camero was number 39,388 out of 142,242 made.
Thanks

The VIN tells us the car came with a V8. So originally it had a 327cid/210hp (2 barrel carburetor) or a 327cid/275hp (4 barrel carburetor). If the original, undecked engine is still there the engine assemble code will be stamped on the engine pad.

If the car has a vinyl top now, it was added. Per the trim tag the car was all Ermine White when it left the factory.
