Title: correct mono leaf springs for L48
Post by: DaveR on March 28, 2008, 02:18:11 PM
I took my leaf springs out of my car and one of them is broken.  Is there a way to tell the difference between the different coded mono leaf springs if the tag is gone?  Is this only possible at a spring shop?
thanks Camaros.org

The only distinction the parts books references to are a coupe or convertible. No different rear springs for different engine combinations.

There is a rear spring usage chart in the 67 AIM. UPC 4 - B1

Some Camaro monoleaf rear springs got a daub of paint on the front spring eye, which can determine the application. Do you see any paint color in that area?
