Did the exhaust tips look like this on a 68 Z?

No it was the oval / rectangular tip that exited behind the rear wheels.

I would say that looks oval with downturn like the originals, unless I am not seeing it right.

It is way too oval the originals were more boxed with rounded corners...

I am partial to the 2 & 1/4 Set up that Gardner Sells.

VERY nice, and  worth every cent, if it suits you goals for the car.

Will attach pic.

Coating is a nice treat (aluminized pipe)

Please excuse the FLAP (MUD) Used as temp protection during Friday Test and Tune track day.

Jim.

I will eventually go with the Gardner system when I put the car back totally original.  For now I'm driving it with a cowl hood and after market exhaust.  It also has a huge front sway bar and a smaller rear one which are coming off as soon as it gets a little warmer.  I don't know about the rest of the country, but in OR we have had a crappy week.  It has snowed at my house every day this last week.  We had 65* just 3 weeks ago.
