I have a water neck part # 397212(6,8 or 9) I am not sure of the one or the last digit
Any ideas what motor it is for? Is it for a Camaro?

Chris,
I tried looking for those different part # possibilities and couldn't find any of them. Sorry.
There are CRG members who have a lot better knowledge of sources and terminology than I do. For example, I knew what you meant by water neck, but that isn't the real Chevy term for it. I'll bet Ed could tell us in a heartbeat.

Sorry guys. My books don't go into the mid 70's, which is what that casting number appears to be. I can only go to 1971.
And by the way, it's in group 1.153 and it's called a "outlet, water" if anyone has a mid to late 70's book.

That's a 1970s-80s GM generic replacement. I see these all the time on cars when I'm on the road. Car I looked at today had one of these gems.

What is the correct part number for the 69 camaro?
-
1969 are all the same, # is 3877660. Number was located in two different places, on the base and on the hose entry end.

Is the 660 supposed to have the lobe for the spring?

Yes, it does,
