Title: 68 camaro inner rocker skins
Post by: dmchrist on January 27, 2006, 08:20:20 PM
I have reached a delima. I need both side inner rocker skins for a 1968 convert and can't find just the skin. I have 2 options at this point. I can buy the complete inner/outer rocker and try to cut the inner skin off or I am told that some people have used the coupe inner rockers and modified them to fit? Can anyone shed some light on this problem?

Thanks
Darren

Coupe rockers are totally different. Convertibles use thicker steel (0.125" thick and the width of the whole rocker is twice that of a coupe. There are 2 long "Z" reinforcers inside the rag version as well.

Best approach is to rebuild once floor is cut away with custom made aptches and a good penetration weld. This the backbone of the car.
