Title: Id a balancer &

I need help finding out if I have the right balancer & cover for a 69-302. It's 8" & The cover has a seprite tab with the marks on it It sits at about 2:00.ON the balancer Any help & pics would be great. Thanks Bob

Photo below of a correct original '69 DZ302 timing cover - the timing tab is welded to the cover. Photo also of a 302 8" balancer scribed to show both timing index marks - note that the timing index mark for '68 usage is directly in line with the crank keyway and a pulley bolt hole, and the '69 timing index line was moved counter-clockwise about ten degrees from the keyway positiion, which also generated a different timing cover and tab to match the relocation. Don't mix a '68 balancer and a '69 timing cover, or vice versa, or your timing tab marks will be out of whack.
