Title: Can anyone recommend a Quadrajet restoration service?
Post by: sdkar on March 08, 2008, 06:59:34 AM
I would like to have a Quadrajet carb I have professionally rebuild as well as new coatings for correct look.  Is there anyone out there that can recommend someone that will do a good job?

Thanks,

Steve

I second the above vote for Eric. He's doing mine as we speak and I can't wait to get it back. He comes highly recomended. He does the correct plating, etc...not just Eastwood rattle can jobs... Brian

I have used Eric for several high dollar restorations and he does an excellent job. You can put the carb on right out of the box and do very little adjusting on the idle mixture screws. He is very fast and if you have any kind of problem he will work with you on the phone to get it resolved. He done one carb for me and we had some idle problems and he ask that I send it back to him. He had it fixed in a few days and when I got it out of the box there was a $20 bill in the choke horn for my shipping and problems. I didn't ask for the shipping refund he is just that kind of guy.

I also will speak highly of Eric Jackson. He did my 3910 and 3911 Holleys and got me the correct base plate for my 3911 thats is super hard to find. He does great work in a timely manner.

Pick it up from my driveway.  :)  Get it delivered everyday.  I live in Ocean County.  I'm guessing you must be from the area.

Steve:

I just had mine "re-manufactured" by a company here in Kenosha, Wi. called Dyno Carb Lab. I'll be installing it on my car this Sunday and I'll let you know how it is. If you are looking for a show car finish then this isn't for you.

Pretty funny.  I used to live on California Ave. in Brick.  Right off of Lanes Mills Road.  I'm 15 minutes or so West of Brick now.

Yes I'll be there ... or least I'll try my best to get there.  Comes down to my son's baseball schedule.  If I can, I would like to get there early Saturday morning.  How about you?  I'm guess you are going to try an it hit too.

Just got done finishing the install of my carb. It fired up after two shots of starter fluid and other than a slight adjustment to the idle, runs and responses super. Can't wait for this snow to be gone here in Wisconsin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We do a lot of Q-jets and Holleys here at CHP and actually do quite a bit of re-jetting on the carbs so the engines will run better too.  Factory jetting in just about all cases is too lean as that's what the factory wanted.  We maximize every carb resto so the car will run the best that it can.  Read some of the customer feedback on our website, www.z28camaro.com.
