Title: New Engine...Will Everything Fit?
Post by: thecraiger on March 05, 2008, 11:42:08 PM
I just ordered this turn key engine (but with a 408 stroke) I believe it will fit without modifications into my car but I had one concern and wanted your feedback.
I have a 1967 Camaro 350 SS with factory A/C. they have the compressor mounted on the bottom. Does anyone see this being a problem other than having to make custom lines? I don't see the height of the engine being a problem? All feedback appreciated.

Nothing is impossible!     :)

Remember a '67 Camaro has a huge engine bay compared to the cars of today.  Good luck, have fun, and let us know how it turns out!

Are you going to use your stock fan and clutch or an after market ? If you use the stock setup with the long water pump the fan maybe not be in proper position in the fan shroud, this could cause heating problems. :'(
