I was trying to decipher the information about the assembly date of a 1969 z28. But, I'm not sure if I got it correct.
What would the vehicle assembly date be for an early built 1969 z28 with a Trim tag date of 10D (October of 1968).
I have a ce block. Engine components, Transmission, rear end, and door panels dated around August and/or September of 1968.
Thank you

Correct, 4th week of October, 1968.
10 = October
D = 4th week of the month

Thanks for your response Paul.
So is the Fisher Body cowl tag date the same as the Vehicle assembly date (Vehicle build date)?

Yes, the cowl tag date indicates when the assembly of the body was started. For example 11C means the body assembly was started during the 3rd week of November of the model year (not the calendar year).

Paul,
In the case of my car which has a 10D trim tag date. Which you said translates to the 4th week of October.
About what date would my vehicle have been completed?
About what date would the engine assembly have been?
