Whew...scared me there. Thats my car now I bought it from Van as a project a few years ago and I must have sent him that photo after it was done :D I stopped at my shop on the way home last night just to make sure it was still there! That car is an L35 and fairly unique color/trim combo with the white top and white deluxe interior. I'm just finishing up its little sister that is also a LOS built 0-6 but with black houndstooth interior. Both are factory A/C cars with matching drivetrains built just a few week apart. I'm a little sick I guess ::)

I had a 68 SS Corvette Bronze with black standard interior, front bench and fold-down rear seat. That sound you heard was me biting my knuckles.

I updated the name. Sorry Pat - the msg didn't come thru right. Nice car. Rich

Actually I wouldn't have considered that car a project Pat. My son took that picture in 2006 or so in front of the Chrystal Springs Resivor behind my house 20 min south of San Francisco ,California.

OK Van, it was an exceptionaly solid original complete matching numbers car that needed to be brought up to the physical condition it deserved as such. It's all in the symantics ;) I just gave it a complete paint job, stainless restoration, new top, interior, rebuilt A/C, full system plated brake job, reconditioned power window system, and washed the windows :) It's seemed like a project since I've been working on it since I bought it from you in Feb 2005.
This car is my oldest daughters favorite car we own and she drives it to school when the weather is good. She's a really good responsible kid and heading to Purdue this fall which will put a damper on my car hobby for sure. She had her senior pictures taken with the car by the lake behind our house here in Indiana. Van, how old is your son and will he be inheriting your 69Z collection? Hmmmm :)

Pat
He was 13 when he took that photo and he will be 17 later this year. He did a lot of work on the 69 RS Z . We took out the original drive train and put in a 427 SB dressed like the original DZ302 , a TKO 600 with upgraded suspension and brakes . Great driving car . My Daughter wants a Pace Car and will be 19 this year . I told her if it is in my garage you can have dibs on one but I am not going to go buy a Pace Car at todays prices !! She chose my yellow on yellow Z so she will get that one day.....maybe

Well, I have a 16 year old daughter too. She's not responsible and asking to drive a camaro like I let her sister. I've let her drive with me and its always peddle to the metal and "can I do a burnout"? I'd introduce her to your son but when I asked her why she broke up with her latest boyfriend her reply was "I wanted to see If I could make him cry". It's amazing how they can all be raised the same way and be so different :)
