On the cowl tag ........ :)

well i am told that a 1967 camaro does not have the date built code on the cowl tag? so now what. And if you know that for sure then in what position is it on the tag?

You should be able to decode from the information posted. Look for a number with a A-E letter next to it. If you still can't find it, post the cowl tag information and someone will decode it for you. :)

67's did have a cowl tag, start at the link above. If your tag is missing, you may be able to approximate build date by finding sombody with a close vin, and going by their build date. If you find it and have problems decoding there is very good info on this site, or post a clear photo, and others will chime in.

All cowl tags have the body build date - yours will be directly beneath the "General" in General Motors at the top of the tag.

The information headers on the CRG home page has answers to most questions. The knowledge on this site, and it's members are better than "I was told", and that's a fact.
