Title: any help appreciated
Post by: steve burch on January 17, 2006, 10:19:56 AM
I have 6 Camaros. A standard 68, a 68 rs, a 69ss, a standard 72, an 81 z28 and a 95. Needless to say, I like Camaros! My buddy bought a 67 rs and brought it for me to look at yesterday. I looked at the vin, which is 123377N145361. It shows to have originally been a 6 cyl. car.  My question is this, could you get a rally sport is 67 with a 6 cylinder engine? it has hideaway headlights and the reverse lights under the rear bumper.....i'm confused

Steve,

The Rally Sport option was a "dress-up" combination and didn't require a certain engine. It could be purchased on any Camaro, engine size not withstanding. So yes, his 6 cylinder could be ordered with the RS option.

I LOVE those 6 bangers!! And one with the RS option to boot! Any other options on it?

Hi Ed,
Someone has done a lot of "alterations" on the car. It has a 9" Ford rear end in it. It has a 4 speed in it as well. I think it came with a manual transmission, but I don't know if it was originally a 3 or a 4 speed.
