It looks like DZ is the only thing on the pad on my monitor.

A little digital magic (enlarge, lighten, sharpen and invert the colors), and Kurt is right as usual.

I saw this a couple of days ago and asked him for the VIN or date code. His answer:

"I just added more pics to the ad. There isn't a vin because the block was a factory replacement.
I hope this helps. Thanks"

Someone tell sBay he is working to deceive the public.  What's a DZ supposed to sell for any way?

Certified fake for sure.

Jerry

Nothing quite like a "Certified fake". Isn't that an oxymoron or something? Or maybe that's the seller??

There's enough room for a VIN between the D and Z stamp  ;D

Looks like some light machining over the stamp. The first one was not a Flint block since it didn't have the oil galley plug over the timing cover.

I'd question a September '68-cast block assembled in April, 1969; I don't care for the pad stamp either.

Seems way early for the casting. But from what I see in that pic, the V0410DZ stamp itself looks pretty good (compared to other known stamps).

Way too blurry to tell if there's an oil gallery plug.
