Title: 69 350 Valve cover?
Post by: wtexz10 on December 31, 2007, 06:35:44 PM
When I purchased my Z10 the engine had the Z/28 style aluminum covers.  I would like to find a set of stamped steel covers and ran accross these on ebay.  These are suppose to be from a 68 Chevy.  Would they be correct for my L48?

Thanks,
Kris

They are not the correct covers.  No extra brackets as those have.  The RS has a breather hole and the LS should have an oil fill hole and PCV hole.

i have a set that i use to when i paint an engine. if i am not mistaken, they are the original valve covers off my z-11 car that i owned in 1974 and 75. i will check them out and let you know. i have a friend that needs a set for a 68 if you could send me the link for the auction on ebay.

Just a FYI.....Those are NOT 68 valve covers. They should not have to oil cap in 68...The 68 covers are a one year only cover and can be very difficult to find in nice condition. Also 68 covers are stamped with an O between the top two bolt holes on the top/intake side of the cover...Good luck!
