Title: 68 Windshield Trim

Were all cars except the z28 equiped with chrome window trim around the front and rear windows?  Im not 100% sure I want to replace the chrome trim on my car and I was just interested as to what was available from the factory.

All cars had chrome window trim including the Z/28.

  I thought i saw somewhere that z28 had black front window trim, must have been aftermarket.

The later second generation Camaro Z/28 such as the 1980-81's have blacked out window trim. No first gen's had black window trim.

Just a bit of a detail... The trim around the windshield and rear window wasn't chrome, it is polished stainless steel. These original pieces can be restored and re-polished to look better than new.

the trim i pulled off was in good enough shape, some of the other trim got bent from rusted out mounting points when pulling off.  The reason I asked is because I dont think I want the polished trim around anything on the car but I havent decided. I didnt know if any of them came with black window trim or if that was a custom deal when they install a windshield.
