Title: Weird "Sparkle Glitter" in parking lights????
Post by: Spidey7 on November 29, 2007, 02:13:29 AM
Alright all you gear heads  ;), I pulled the RS parking lights (Or fog lamps) off of my 1969 RS/SS Camaro Pace car, and behind the light-bulb the interior reflector housing appears to be covered with "glitter". It almost looks like the same thing that a first grader would use to sprinkle on top of white Elmers glue and construction paper. I can see how it would make the light reflect better/brighter, but it seems weird to me. If it's not original I might remove it. Does ANYONE have any idea about this stuff? Or maybe you've found it on your own Camaro? Thanks for your help.  ;D

Definitely not original.  Also, lights are turn signal / parking light only.

Although they are on when the headlights are on and have an amber color due to the color of the bulb, they do not add any additional illumination as today's fog lamps do.
