Title: need help on lining up front end parts. sway bar, tie rods, idler arm, pitman.
Post by: tjgarvey on October 21, 2007, 11:25:37 PM
I have just put all new disc brakes and tie rods, idler arm, pitman and steering gear box on. Is there a special way to line all these pcs up? Can anyone lead me in the right direction. I have hooked everything up and one of the wheels is straight and the other is turned in. Does it all start with the steering box and pitman arm? Any help would be great.

Thanks
Tom

the pitman arm only goes in one way. the idler arm just bolts in. the only adjustment would be the tie rod ends. tdid you mess with the shims on the upper control arms? thhat would affect the camber. get it so you can drive it, then take it to a good front end shop and let them do it.
