Title: Correct water pump 692 or 170?

Both are correct, but the 3953692 was used more frequently.

Post by: Jonesy on October 17, 2007, 12:58:48 AM: 692. The 170 pump was more likely to be on a Tonawanda engine. thats what the T stands for after the casting number on a 170 pump.

Flint supplied the 302's in 69. However, I think there are a few examples of Tonawanda made 302's, although I have never seen a documented one with a 170 pump on it.

I don't agree - all 302's were produced at Flint V-8.
