Title: Brake Pedal Assembly Paint Color??
Post by: 67SS396 on October 01, 2007, 02:09:44 AM
For a 67 Camaro SS 396
We have the brake pedal assembly out of the car and might as well brush off the surface rust and paint it before re-installing it.
Any idea what the original color/finish was?
By the looks of it, we think a plain silver paint would work.
Comments appreciated!
Thanks

We are talking about the entire assembly that holds the brake pedal arm and bolts to the underside of the dash. (It looks like the brake pedal arm is black but we still are thinking the assembly should be silver)

Mine pedals are all black, but it's a 68.  I don't know if my paint rusted or what, but the assembly seems to be natural.

The pedal support is natural (unpainted), and the pedals are painted semi-gloss black.

And the pedals were dipped; look and you can tell how far.
