Title: Wilwood brakes and Lokar Emergency Brake Kit.
Post by: sdkar on September 22, 2007, 05:42:57 PM
I have Wilwood rear disc brakes on my 69 Camaro.  Wilwood told me to purchase the Lokar EC-81Fu kit, which I did.  However, the instructions do not say where to mount the junction where the two rear cables merge into one.  I called Lokar and asked this but the guy there didn't seem to know much and told me to install it at the spot where the pedal brake cable ends.  However, this can still be anywhere.  Does anyone have a pic or suggestion where you attached this junction and it work with no problems?

Thanks for the help.

Okay....second question that may work in lieu of the one above.  Has anyone ever installed a 4th gen emergency brake in a first gen?  I may just go with a late model console and e-brake in my 69 as I already have the console and brake handle laying around.  The only thing I might have to get is the small cable from the e-brake to the "splitter" as I don't have that.  They are all over in the junk yard I hope...or, if anyone has one laying around for sale...email me.
