Title: Early 67 rear bumper guards?
Post by: camaro cat on January 06, 2006, 12:43:04 AM
Anyone intrested check out ebay #4601402060. I also own a set of rear bumper guards like this that are solid and have no rubber strip. I found mine in a salvage yard in the mid 70's (that car also had a bench seat that I didn't pull). I have asked others for their opinion but no one seems to know what I was talking about. My 67 is a 3rd week of October 66 build and I'll have to do some more research to see when this change might have occured if legit.

Loren,
Interesting.  I have never seen the optional (V32) guards like this before.  Thanks for pointing this out.

I know somone who had camaros in the late 70s and early eighties. He had lots of leftover parts and he had some of those bumper guards and said they came off of the camaros he took apart.

Yes, those are early 67 bumber guards. I believe when I did the research on them the change was Dec. 66. I had them on a Sep. 67 I owned.
