Title: 67 bumper jack
Post by: 67 kemie ss on January 05, 2006, 10:04:25 PM
Hey
Fairly new to the site.  Hoping someone can settle some bets:

What is the correct color for a 67 bumper jack - grey?

On what side of the hook was the logo "Camaro 1967 UN" stamped - the inside facing the post or the outside?

Which style of jack in attached photo is correct for a 67, or are they both correct?

Any input appreciated. Thnx

I don't think there was only one jack used.  I know my jack is gray and does not have the logo "Camaro 1967 UN" stamped on it.  Not sure if this is a NOR vs LOS thing or what.  I know for sure there were diffrent jack baces used.

Daniel, I also have an LOS car.  Which style of the two does your car have?

Should be a date code on the rivet that the handle pivots on, that will at least tell you what year the jack is from.  My 68 looks like the gray one.  Thought 67's had the T style shaft?

Not sure, I would have to look.  I know mine is painted gray though.

My 67 jack is painted gray and looks like the one on the right (black one) in your picture. Mine is an 11E Norwood car. Sincerely Brian

Here is the jack that came with my ’67. It is an 11E LOS car.

OK that confuses the issue even more!  Haven't seen that style before.  As a 12A car presumably mine should be the same.
