See http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=UBB10&Number=177727&page=0&fpart=all, where it was discussed in detail. :)

Smog pump wasn't installed yet, so no overspray.

THANKS ALOT FOR THE LINK ABOUT OVERSPRAY ON SMALL BLOCK ENGINES. IT WAS VERY INFORMATIVE. I LIKED THE PART ABOUT HOW THAT GUY COULD PAINT THE WHOLE ENGINE WITHOUT GETTING UP FROM HIS STOOL. ONLY PAINTED THE BOTTOM OF THE OIL PAN WHEN SOMEONE FROM THE OFFICE IS AROUND. PRICELESS  INFO!!! THE NEXT ENGINE I PAINT I'M GETTING A STOOL AND MAKING SURE MY SUPERVISOR ISN'T AROUND... THAT WAY IT'LL BE CORRECT!!!

It's a '70 LT-1 from a Nova but same process.
