Title: 69 Camaro SS 350 L48 Starter
Post by: tjgarvey on September 03, 2007, 02:06:26 AM
Hello, I'm new to the camaro scene and need some help. I Have a 69 camaro SS X55  350/300 4 speed, it is a all matching numbers car, engine, tranny, rear end. My questions is I have a starter that I bought and want to know if it is correct for the car. The numbers on the starter are 1108338, 0A13 4. I do know it is for a 70'S car and Jan 13th, but what is the 4? Would this starter be to far past my build date on my car of March 5th of 69?

I also see alot of people sending in their car's info, what do I have to do to get mine in the data base?

Thanks
Tom

Paul,

Does the 4 after the date mean 4 speed?

Thanks
Tom

Not sure what the 4 means. The starter is dated too late for your car.

The 1108338 starter is the production starter for all 69 L48's with a standard transmission and the service replacement is 1108418.

You ahve the right starter, just too late for the car.
