Post by: mrdetails on August 27, 2007, 05:30:01 PM
I'am tring to find info. on seat belt date coding. I did a search of the site and didn't turn up much. Does anyone know the paticulars of coding for a 01D car built in LA with standard belts. A picture would be fantastic. Or a site with info.
Thks. for the help:

Sam, Do a search over on Team Camaro.  www.camaros.net/forums  Basically the first number is the week, middle letter is the plant code (best guess, Irvins is an A) last number is the year the belt was put together.  For a Jan car, belts are about a month back, so around 48A68 to 2A69 would work.

Thanks for the quick response and info. I checked out the Team Camaro site.  Belts also hade a code number on them, I guess for usage. Does anyone know what it is for Camaro. There was info on the other site someonel posted but I think it was for an Impala. My original belts were in bad shape..none of the labels were readable.
Thks. again:
