Post by: Claus on August 02, 2007, 04:38:31 AM
My first post for quite a while now, I am however "frequently" posting on Team Camaro.

Please check out this cool ad of a rare species  ;D

Thats cool. Was that ad in a magazine? You can see it says "Witch is Which?" on the back side at the top.

The ad is from a magazine, sorry don't know which one. The picture is from a guy in the US who has a big interest in Yutivo Camaros.
Here is a link to a full size picture of the same ad (225kb): http://www.69pace.com/Yutivos/Camaro_Yutivo_1967.jpg (http://www.69pace.com/Yutivos/Camaro_Yutivo_1967.jpg)

I have no other vintage ads, you can however see some 67, 68 and 69 Yutivos on my website:

And a picture of my own 67 RS Yutivo project, it has been discussed on camaros.net:

Checked out your sites.  It was interesting to see the Yutivo trim tags had painted(?) letters and the numbers were stamped.  Great thread, tell us more...

I have been living in the Philippines for about 7 years now and naturally therefore developed an interest in the local assembled Camaros.
As you might know, all Yutivos were 6 cylinder 250 cui models with either a 3 speed manual (like mine) or the powerglide transmission, some say that all Yutivos were RS models. Almost all the Yutivos I have seen, has been modified to V8's (as you also can see on my website). In fact so far I only know of one other original drivetrain car - a white 67 standard coupe with black deluxe interior, but I am sure there are more out there.
Kurt S has the info on my car, only the rear end we did not yet get any numbers - hopefully when I come back to the Philippines by next month I will be able to get the numbers of the single leaf 10 bolt axle.

Thanks for the info Claus - great info.  Please let us know if you find any more.  I've lost touch with my original contacts since I wrote the article.  Rich

How much is the asking price in U.S. dollars?

I know that car and has some info on its org. drivetrain, now it has a V8. It has black deluxe interior, but with some modifications. The car was at the same body shop as mine. 33000usd seems at bit steep for the car, even in Europe.

Here are some pictures from when it was still in the shop in the Philippines:

More info on the car on my web:

The 68 Yutivo and the green 69 Yutivo (18k usd) are also for sale.

Recently this 1968 add was send to me from my US contact that has been researching the Yutivo corporation.

Seems like polyurethane ceiling insulation was standard in the 68 Yutivos, what RPO would that be  ;D
They also advertise the powerglide transmission now.
Sure looks like a vinyl roof car in the add.

Nice.
Different tones from the ads.
The 67 is from Yutivo.
The 68 & 69 ones are from the distributor, NMI, and are closer to a dealer's ad.

NMI, Northern Motors Inc was owned or partly owned by the Yutivo Coorporation.

What I'm trying to say is: the 67 one is more about Yutivo, the later ones are more about the car.
