Title: "68 R/S tail light lense
Post by: nautique_steve on July 26, 2007, 03:10:39 PM
I have a 1968 R/S convertible with all four tail light lenses that are red.  I have seen many with white on the inside lenses and red on the outside lenses which I think is correct. But, possibly there is a difference on convertible/non-convertible, or differences between standard, R/S and SS models?

The standard tail lights on 68 do have the white lens for backup lights.  Since yours is an RS, the double red lenses are correct, as your backup lights are separate (rectangular below the bumper).  The RS package is an appearance package and that's one of the differences.
