Title: Super Car Reunion
Post by: Chris_Pisane on July 22, 2007, 04:34:05 PM
HI, I was wondering if anyone here was going to the Super Car Reunion in Collinsville Illlinois next weekend. Weather and work permitting I am going to try and be there on saturday. The St.Louis Camaro Club has a  cruise/show outside on Saturday, thats where Ill be . All the Yenko and COPO,Motion cars  inside Friday and Saturday.

If you are a camaro enthusiast, its worth a look if you are anywhere near.

If you go, look me up, you cant miss the car, 69 lemans blue Z/28 with licence plates that read JL8- Z28.That is one place I can go without someone asking me what the plate is supposed to mean. :)

My wife and I will be there Friday and Saturday. We're not going to bring a car, just going to check it out for the first time. Some friends of ours are showing their car inside a 1967 Mitchell/ Piggins design Camaro, Or know as the Cherokee Camaro. We'll look for your car Chris.

Its near St.Louis Mo,just on the Illinios side.

Go to the www. Yenko.net site they are the ones sponsoring the event.  They have a running list of all the cars that are going to be there, and whats going on.If you go Friday you can watch them race. Its mostly for the Yenko's Motions,Danas,COPOs "super cars" etc. But there are other cars coming also. Last year Charley had a 69 T/A  convertible there. If you are in Illinois, you should come down, it cant be that far.

Easy for me to say,Im only an hour + away. :)

Lots of amazing cars again this year.

Nice meeting you mr12771. I wish were able to get there sooner, but at least I made it. Your friends were cool also. The Cherokee camaro was very interesting. I talked to Terry for a long time.

Like I thought, noone asked me what my license plate meant. Everyone there knew what a JL8 is. Also, who would have thought the butternut yellow  67 Z/28 would have shown up outside at the cruise?

Hi Chris nice to meet you too. Sorry we had to leave so soon, we had a six and a half hour drive and I just wanted to get home.  When did the 67 Z get there? I didn't get to see it. Oh Man. There's always next year. That was my first and will not be my last Super car Reunion.

My friends were waiting to see your car all day. Yeah that Cherokee was getting a lot of looks and a lot of people talking.

67 z showed up probably an hour after you left. I didnt really talk to the guy much because everyone went to the car when it got there. He did have some magazines with him that had his car featured in them. It looked bascially unrestored. It was a very nice  car!

Hey guys...for a comprehensive feature of the show, please go to  http://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/281148/an/0/page/0#281148

It's about 20 pages long...but worth your time. If you have dial up...you will be there for quite a while!  ;D
