Title: Camaro Nationals
Post by: Jerry@CHP on June 21, 2007, 12:14:10 PM
Hope too see everyone at the Camaro Nationals this weekend.  This show promises to be the biggest and best ever.  If you want to see the nicest and correct Camaro restoratoins in the country, this is the place, case closed.  The best thing about this show is all the great people who attend every year.  Don't miss this one.

Ken Lucas from Lucas Restoratoins will be there with three cars that they restored in the "Legend Certification".  Brian Henderson from Supercar Workshop will also have some cars in the same class, and a very nice Hugger orange 69 COPO will be returning that was restored by Camaros Plus.

I'll be there Saturday. Is there any way to recognize CRG folk?

Is there an area for people selling cars?

I'll be there with my red 67 Pro-touring Camaro and just bothering people in general... It really is a great chance to see some spectacular restorations and they are on a car hoist during judging so you get a chance to see some undercar details. I think I like looking under the cars more than any other part.

I'll be bringing my 69 Pace Car.   Will do the "Legends" check just for the fun of it... but it is actually entered into the BowTie Class and will be on the general showfield... stop by to say Hi...

I wish it were more centrally located and not on the other side of the country...I'd try harder to make it that way.

Tom:  You look like you surprised yourself with that photo :)

Tough to take a decent photo of yourself. took a couple tries just to get reasonably centerted. Say hello if you see me wandering about the feilds on Saturday. My wife and my youngest are coming, but the girls will probably not be checking out too many cars.  Sunday I'm off to Florida, somebody wake me when I get there.

Will be there Friday and Saturday. I'll be the one wearing a drool bib and my daughter will be the one wearing a sign that says  " Will trade 11 year old honors student for 69 Camaro of equal value".   I don't know how I'd recognize anyone, but it would be nice to meet some of the CRG members I've been pestering for information for the last couple of years.

The show was a big success.  Unofficial car count was 604 cars.  A record that probably will not be borken anytime soon.  The weather was perfect which I think helped the turn out.

Many beautiful cars there, that's for sure.  COPOs, Yenkos, 67 Z28s, etc.  You name it, it was there.

Hope everyone will mark their calendars for next year.

That was the best turnout of Camaro's I have ever attended and I have been to a bunch over the years. Weather was maybe 75 with a light breeze. I think my new favorite 68 color is Sequoia green with the sunlight hitting it late in the day...Wow

Think there was seven including mine which was in the other building.  There was also one for sale on the show field.

 8)

I've never seen so many Camaros in one place.... hard to see them all.  My brother was a little disappointed as we only found ONE 69 GTO... so much for the GM side of it.  Had a good time and saw a lot of nice cars.   A number of PaceCar's as well.  The drive from north of Toronto is a long one... maybe be back in a couple of years...
