I'm working a car that has a VIN # 124377L1006698
I want to have a new trim tag made for it since someone ripped the original off.
The car is Tahoe Turquoise
I was a RS orig. stuff present
it has power steering and power disc brakes
the other options are power windows, A/C
when I bought the car the motor and trans were out 396 auto but the owner said it wasn't for sale. most likely not orig. is there a way to tell if it was a big block car?
10 bolt multi leaf rear end. Owner said it had a 12 bolt but got trashed at the drag strip. MIA
How do I come up with a build date and body number etc. for the new trim tag?
I don't want present the car for something it's not I just want it to look correct as a best guess can get.
Frank
My best guess from what is present:
GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION
??? ????
ST 67-12437 LOS ???? BODY
TR 756-Z LL PAINT
WX 2EB 3L
4? 5B

You have one to many digits in your vin. The car is too early to be a big block car. It is a little hard to tell for sure by the picture you posted, but it looks like your car may have been a SS350/4-speed car. I would need a better picture of know for sure. With out the original cowl tag, is going to be very hard to prove to anyone just what you have.
