Title: turbo 400 linkage for 68 rs ss bench seat column shift
Post by: kelico on May 28, 2007, 11:28:07 PM
HI everyone.  My friend has a 68 big block RS SS Bench seat column shift car.. apparently really rare, but I dont know much about them so I dont really know.  We're looking for the correct linkage for his tranny.  It has the updated 700r4 conversion kit in it now, but he wants to put in the era correct 400 that he's had rebuilt.
so we have none of the parts.. we need:  the frame mount for linkage, the tranny linkage, shift rod, etc.. basically all the pc's from the column to the tranny.
Even a picture of what the parts look like would be great
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

thanks

I would suggest you get a factory assembly manual. It can be picked up from most restoration part houses (year one, The paddock, National Parts depot, ect) and it will show you how it went together, parts needed along with part numbers. This wont help you with finding the parts but at least you'll know what your looking for.

Hope it helps
