It would be funny if they made similar spelling mistakes on their bogus paperwork!

Ya know, there's gonna come a day when us guys that don't have a shred of documentation (and freely admit it) are going to be the only ones that people will know, absolutely for sure, 100%, incontestably, are telling the truth.  It really is sad.

I wish Jim would settle his issue with GM and get those docs out.

There is no "issue with GM"; the documents simply don't exist.

to be clear, I meant that someone produces and sells such a thing (and that someone buys it) rather than any commentary on Jim Mattis

I believe otherwise.

Believe as you will. I was there, and I know all three groups very well that were charged with the three separate internal searches chartered (and funded) by Jim Perkins (Chevrolet General Manager) for the 60's Chevrolet production records.

Did you happen to look at some of the items that he has sold. Interesting stuff to say the least, window stickers and even a graphotype machine that looks like you may be able to replicate a  POP.

Based on the information I have found, I believe John Z. is correct...There are no Chevrolet records. Thinking otherwise is just wishful thinking.

Maybe you should have looked to see what Fisher still had instead of Chevrolet.

Hylton, why do you believe otherwise?

At this point Gary, what I have is only heresay and I do not want to start false rumors but I will say that I am currently working on a proposal to a very senior executive at GM about a different approach to finding possible information. I have never worked for GM in any way but I do have someone's ear.

Hylton,

Good luck, I would love to have accurate info available. I will believe it however, if/when it happens. There will also be many upset victims when they discover the truth about the cars they bought that are not what they paid for.

I would like to point out that Chevrolet provides documentation for 1977 and newer cars see link attached. http://www.camaros.net/vis/

BTW I have use this service for my 81 Z. We have heard all sorts of reasons why the prior years haven't been released from lawsuits, floods and fires. The bottom line is if they existed they would have been released, the truth is the records have not existed for years.
