Hi Jerry -
I see you certified this Z/28. What's your opinion of the car? The seller claimed to have the Protect-O-Plate on his last auction, but there's no mention of it in this auction. Did you get to inspect the Protecto-O-Plate? Is this a good car to buy?

With a little searching I was able to find the seller's last two Ebay auctions on this vehicle:

Ad says he's been hired to certify it as of 5/3, not that he's actually seen it.
Lot of money (75K) for a car painted the wrong color, rear stripes painted like a 68, non original ZL2 hood, and non spoiler car originally (no hole in front crossmember for spoiler support rod).
-
Mark, look again. The hole is there in the cross member. If it wasn't it could be like mine. The front clip was changed out in the past, but the deck lid had the heavy spring with original overspray. You are right about the stripes. It looks plain stupid. Is that a picture of Jerry inside the car?

Thats our Jerry. ;D

What's with the signature on the shift surround? Is that supposed to increase the value? ???

I believe that's Jerry's signature. :)

Yes, I can see that it is, but is this supposed to be some type of 'value added'? I just see it as something that needs to be removed. :)

Guys,
I did certify this car last week. It is a real Z28, however I cannot comment about the car and any issues with this car in an open forum about it because of the ethics that I have to abide by as a certified licensed appraiser. If someone is interested in buying the car, you can call and I can give you some details if you're a perspective buyer.
You should also ask the seller for the full three page report that I wrote. It is not there and that tells much more about the car.

Thanks Jerry. I just emailed him.

Jeff,
He asked me to sign the console. I did not want to but the client insisted that I do it and then snapped a photo.
