Title: Dealership Numbers
Post by: ss68396 on May 02, 2007, 04:42:04 PM
Does anyone have a break down for the actual dealer codes? What I am looking for is I have a dealer code and would like to know what dealership it was.

The Dealer number is 83093

I think this was a Dealership in Saskatchewan.

Any help on this would be great thanks.

Jay

Jay -

The only dealer code I can verify from Canada is:

82172
Beny Chevrolet Oldsmobile
Corner of 8th St. & 2nd Ave. South
Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada

This info was date stamped into a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro warranty book on 12-9-68.

Well, it doesn't show up on either Team Chevelle or NCRS's dealer searches.

But you might want to try them, since you may have more info.

Don't all Canadian dealer #s start with 81?

No, see my previous post.   :)

I did...  All the search engines use an 81--- Canadian example.  So, I just learned something.  Thanks!
(I was working on that post, and you pulled the quote before I was finished...  All your post said at that point was "Jay-"  Sorry! Apparently, we were posting at the same time.)

I don't know what happened on that.   ???  I was typing my response, looked up at the screen, and that was posted.   :P

No problem.  But usually you will get a message in red that says there has been a new post...

Of course both those data bases are private to those organizations.  I'm sure they don't have them all.  JohnZ might be able to tell us more about the NCRS data base (which I would think is large --and looks just like the Chevelle data base) and/or if there is a GM database on dealer #s that we can access (I've never been able to find that.)

The NCRS site does work.  It gave me the dealer # on my hometown dealership (which doesn't exist any more) and the # of the original dealership for my 68.

Maybe it's time for us to start our own GRG dealer code database, or even a post like this where one could post (and/or research) verified dealer info.  It could be Chevrolet dealers only if you guys like.  So, what do you think?

It has been a project in the works for maybe 5 years or so on camaros.net and chevelles.com with dealer codes still getting added.

Which is exactly as I shared above... Although I forgot it was on Team Camaro (I know, wasn't thinking!)
Does anyone know if these three (including NCRS) are linked?  Their input forms all look the same (NCRS is a little different) and they all seem to have or not have the same codes.
