Title: What does "T-3" stand for in GM Headlamps
Post by: camaronut on January 24, 2023, 12:05:53 PM
Talking to a friend last night and he told me that T-3 means something - like and engineering term, test or something like that.  He said that Mike Joy was talking about that subject during a Barrett Jackson auction broadcast, but can't remember the details...  I know that the T3 headlamps were made by Guide, which was bought by GM in the early days to be a subsidiary of Delco-Remy.

Anyone have a clue?

Weren't the filaments tungsten?  Might simply be model number or something like 3rd generation tungsten headlamp.
