What is the final verdict on the correct air cleaner service decal for a 1969 350/300 SS manual Oct. 68 built?
Black CO 6484584? Thanks
-
I'm curious too. I don't have an SS in that build date, but I do have a 2bbl 327 with that build date. There are a bunch of things that are 68 leaning on the car, but the air cleaner was missing. My opinion for my 2bbl is the older black gold label (which is not reproduced), so I had a one off done by Don L.

Thanks Kevin. I will check with Don.

Anyone else have answers? Thanks

Here's the Feb 69 P&A manual page. The 4584 cleaner assembly appears to be for auto trans.

HERE (http://www.gmpartswiki.com/getpage?pageid=75514) you go (Group 3.402), but a 1969 Camaro assembled in 1968 would still be a 1969 model.

Thanks Ed, looks like the correct number.6484583. I was told the 69 cars made in 68 had a black decal? Not sure what the 2 letters with the numbers are. Like CO or CN?

Could someone tell me the OE correct AC Delco air filter number? Thanks

No idea, but maybe the two letters are related to or same as the codes and footnotes shown in this chart:

The part # needs to match the broadcast code.
L48 auto is CN.
The numbers and codes didn't change when they redesigned the label.
